How we used Reels to Massively Increase our Reach on Instagram

A little less than a year ago we changed the way we use Instagram on the Faculty of Science, University of Copenhagen. We wanted Instagram to be a place where we try to capture the fascination of natural sciences and the genuine excitement of our researchers and share it with the public.

As Instagram is becoming more and more a video platform it was obvious for us that Reels was the way to go. With a clear plan and a few simple principles we significantly increased our organic reach. From an earlier average of approximately 2000 we are now averaging a reach of 70.000 per video with some of them reaching up to 420.000 people.

In this laid-back seminar, we're pulling back the curtain on what we've uncovered during our year-long stint with Reels. More specifically, you will hear about how we select topics for our Reels, how we make the most out of each video shoot and the principles we follow during editing.

It has been a year of learning by doing and now we are ready to share our experiences with you - and hopefully learn a thing or two ourselves.
